About the Ronnie Stanley Foundation
Our Mission
The Ronnie Stanley Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life for rescue dogs and individuals in need. The foundation trains and cultivates the therapeutic properties of rescue dogs to be matched with individuals who have faced various life challenges such as illness, emotional trauma, and/or other hardships. These matches are even more meaningful because rescue dogs are placed in their forever homes.
Our Founder
Ronnie Stanley is the All-Pro NFL Tackle for the Baltimore Ravens. He has always been a dog lover and a major advocate for pet adoption in the Baltimore area. Ronnie was drafted by the Ravens in 2016 and he knew one of the first things he needed to do once he got to Baltimore was adopt a dog. He went to BARCS, the local shelter, and adopted Lola, a six-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier. He later adopted a second dog from BARCS, Rico, a terrier mix. He founded the Ronnie Stanley Foundation to formalize the work he was already doing to support pet adoption and to establish unique programs that will make a difference in the lives of animals and humans.

Community Outreach
An important part of our mission is being a positive impact on the community, however we can. As part of our commitment to community outreach, we partner regularly with Baltimore City Public Schools and Baltimore City Fire Department. We visit classes of all ages with our dogs and speak with the students about topics such as the importance of kindness to animals, rescue and even how to properly greet a new dog. We also visit local fire stations with our dogs to provide comfort visits to our First Responders to give them a brief respite from the stress and danger they face on the job every day.
